Fit an Aimpoint Micro pattern dot on an airsoft RIS rail

How a Micro red dot mounts to an airsoft RIS rail and the clone-rail caveat.

Direct fitA Micro-pattern dot mounts on a 20 mm RIS or RIS II rail through a Micro Picatinny mount. Good rails hold Picatinny spec, budget clones can run out of tolerance.

What to fit it with

An airsoft RIS or RIS II rail follows the Picatinny pattern, so a real Micro-pattern mount clamps it and holds the dot the same way it would on a live-fire carbine rail.

The variable is the rail, not the mount. A cheap clone rail can sit slightly out of spec on slot width or spacing, so seat the mount dry first and confirm it clamps square before locking down.
