A 1 inch scope needs 1 inch rings, and Picatinny rings lock into the rail slots so the scope holds zero under recoil. There is no adapter in the way.
Choose ring height by objective. A small objective takes low rings, a 50 mm objective needs medium or high rings to clear the barrel and rail.
