What to fit it with

Rings must match the tube. A 1 inch (25.4 mm) scope needs 1 inch rings; a ring cut for another diameter either will not close or lets the tube slip. The ring pattern must also match the Picatinny rail (MIL-STD-1913).

Picatinny rings lock into the rail slots, so the scope holds zero under recoil. Once the diameter and pattern match, ring height decides objective clearance: low rings for a small objective, taller rings as the bell grows.
